The Mesa County Trustee has been very busy. Foreclosures are still coming up on the market. The term REO is another name for foreclosures. These are properties that are owned by a bank or government entity.  REO stands for Real Estate Owned (by the Bank or other entity). These types of properties can be viewed and inspected and are, therefore, a safe purchase.

Buying a foreclosure off the "Courthouse Steps" is tricky unless you are an experienced investor. There is no recourse as to clear title or condition. You are not allowed to inspect the property before purchase. You could be buying a whole lot of trouble.
